Sedgman Metals Engineering are providing detailed engineering, procurement (EP) and commissioning assistance for the upgrade to 3.87 Mt/a of the Guelb Moghrein Copper Project. This involves the upgrading of the copper flotation, concentrate storage, flotation thickening and associated infrastructure.

The project includes the design of a new bank of rougher flotation cells, new vertical mills, the refurbishment of an existing mill and an additional 113 km water pipeline.

The Guelb Moghrein Project was originally designed by Intermet Engineering to treat 2 Mt/a and was successfully commissioned in June 2006.

The upgrade project commenced in April 2008.
