Sedgman Metals Engineering are providing detailed engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for the modification, refurbishment and commissioning of the Gwalia processing plant to treat ore from the underground Gwalia mine. The modifications to be designed for the plant include a new gold room, gravity gold recovery circuit, hazardous materials storage and electrical distribution to accommodate a new power station. The project also includes the refurbishment and re-commissioning of the majority of the existing plant and equipment.

The project commenced in May 2007 and work on site commenced during the 4th Quarter of 2007.
