Plant Description

• Currently at 350thp CHPP
• The CPP is a single stage DMC Spiral facility
• Coarse reject are conveyed to a reject bin located on the ROM pad
• Products are stockpiled on the ground or in a road train loud out bin. 

Client Need

• A facility to process 550tph
• A facility that can process siderite (Iron Stone)
• A system to reduce the load on the thickener
• Raw water system modification to alleviate mine pump and fire pump starvation. 

Solution

• Install new pumps or re-speed existing pumps
• Installation of new tertiary sizer with a larger diameter roll
• Install a larger maintenance hoist in the sizing station
• Install a spiral reject dewatering station to alleviate the loading on the thickener
• Installation of a raw water tank and submersible pump in the raw water system.

Outcome

• Contract awarded to Sedgman in January 2009.
