Plant Description

• 500t ROM dump hopper
• 300t reject bin adjacent to the ROM dump hopper
• 350tph feed rate into a DMC washplant.

Client Need

Client needed an upgrade to the CHPP to provide additional capacity required increasing the plant throughput from 350tph to 500tph, and adequate the remainder of the process plant equipment for the throughput rate of 500thp.

Sedgman Solution

The solution includes between others:

• Detailed design and engineering of the El Cerrejón wash plant upgrade to reach 500tph feed rate, including design, civil and structural steelwork, mechanical and control systems designs;
• Prepare total cost estimate and chronogram for the plant upgrade;
• Increase speed, motor and gearbox to suit required conditions at 500tph feed rate.

Outcome

Contract for Design, Procurement and Construction activities to expand the existing processing plant from 350tph to 500tph.
